HLG Awarded AED350 million contract to develop Saraya Bandar Jissah, Boutique Hotel, in Oman

The Habtoor Leighton Group (HLG), operating as Leighton Middle East Contracting LLC in Oman, has been awarded a contract with revenue of AED350 million to develop Saraya Bandar Jissah, Boutique Hotel, in Oman.

Bandar Jissah, where the project is located, is a coastal town between the Hajjar Mountains and the Gulf of Oman, 11 kilometres southeast of Muscat and 40 kilometres away from Seeb International Airport. Saraya Bandar Jissah Hotel opens onto a prime beach location forming a unique private bay and offering spectacular views onto the beach and sea.

The Boutique Hotel development is a five star, 112-key, luxury hotel, which spans 60,000 square metres encompassing the main hotel building and seven clusters of one and two bedroom villas.  HLG shall construct this luxury hotel complex which also features an executive lounge, gym, business centre, reception, lobby lounge, dining options, a prayer room, retail, commercial offices and service facilities. 

As main contractor of Saraya Bandar Jissah Resort Hotel 2, which was awarded in early 2014, HLG is proud to again be selected to deliver this project that will be a flagship tourist destination for the region. The Hotel Operator for both luxury Hotels is the Jumeirah Group.

HLG CEO and Managing Director, José A. López-Monís, said that HLG is pleased to be selected as the main contractor for the hotels of this Integrated Tourism Complex and congratulates the Oman, Business Development and Pre-Contract teams involved in securing this project in Oman’s newest integrated tourism complex.  

Project works are expected to commence immediately, with completion scheduled in April 2017.
