    José Antonio López-Monís joined the Habtoor Leighton Group (HLG) as CEO and Managing Director in October 2012, and oversees the operations of one of the region’s largest diversified construction groups.

    José has extensive experience in international construction having worked for Dragados, S.A. of Spain – one of the world’s largest construction companies and part of the ACS Group – since 1989.

    José has more than 20 years’ experience in the construction of major bridge, highway, tunnel, airport, port, flood control, rail and transit projects, as well as in the development and construction of multi-million privatization and public-private partnership (PPP) projects.

    Immediately prior to joining HLG, José was Dragados’ Director of Global Business Development, reporting to the Director General of Dragados, S.A. Prior to this he was Director of Dragados’ international division and was responsible for the management and operation of Dragados, S.A., and its construction affiliates, in international markets. He has also held senior management roles with the company in USA, South Africa, the Middle East, Colombia, Ecuador and Ireland.

    José holds an MS Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, and is a member of the National Society of Civil Engineers in Spain.

    Jeremy Lai is a Civil Engineer, with more than 25 years’ experience in the construction industry, gained in Thailand, Malaysia and Australia.
     
    Joining HLG in 2006 as a Construction Manager, Jeremy has a strong track-record in the construction of hospitals and healthcare amenities, retail facilities , high rise residential buildings and large-scale infrastructure projects.  Most recently, Jeremy has also delivered leading civil works in Qatar such as Kahramaa’s largest pumping station and RC Reservoirs.
     
    Prior to joining HLG, Jeremy worked for Leighton Contracting, Multiplex and Hansen Yuncken in Melbourne, Australia.
     
    Jeremy holds a Bachelor of Engineering(Civil) from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia.

    Bachir has 27 years’ experience in managing and executing large-scale infrastructure projects in the Middle East, most recently worked for the Kuwait-based Combined Group Company (CGC) as Vice President for overseas branches.

    Bachir held the role of General Manager for ARC (Al Rajhi Construction Company) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). As General Manager was responsible for delivering projects worth circa SAR 3.5 billion. During his time with the company, he developed the business from a workforce of 100 employees to 4,500 employees, and grew the business to become one of the top 25 construction companies in KSA.

    Prior to joining ARC, Bachir  worked for Wade Adams Contracting LLC where, during 8 years with the company, he continued to build on his engineering experience to become Senior Construction Manager (Projects Manager). In his final two years with Wade Adams was responsible for the delivery of over AED 1.8 billion in key infrastructure projects, including all awarded Nakheel projects.

    Harry has extensive international commercial management experience gained in the UK, West Africa, Oman, Hong Kong and the UAE in the building, civil engineering, rail and oil and gas sectors.

    Having held a variety of roles on projects and group-wide, including Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Manager, Contracts Manager, Project Director and Joint Venture board member, Harry has solid and varied commercial and risk expertise. 

    Harry has worked for main contractors, clients and consultants for large international organisations including the Costain Group, Skanska Construction Group and Bechtel Limited, on major projects such as the Tsing Ma Suspension Bridge in Hong Kong, the Channel Tunnel Rail Link in the UK, and the development of major infrastructure works in Abu Dhabi.

    Harry joined the Habtoor Leighton Group in February 2011. In December 2012 he was appointed to the role of General Manager – Risk Management. Since then he has been given further responsibility to manage the Procurement, HSE, Quality, ICT, Management Systems & Insurance Departments for the Group.

    Harry is a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (FCInstCES).

    Khalil Muhammad is professional accountant with more than 25 years’ experience in the Assurance, Banking & Finance and Construction Industry gained in Pakistan, East Africa, Canada and the GCC.

    Joining HLG in 2010 as a CFO Qatar Khalil later on assumed the responsibilities of KSA and Oman.

    Khalil specializes in leadership and development of high performance cultures, financial and strategic planning, business performance management, forecasting, tax restructuring and treasury & risk management.

    Prior to joining HLG, Khalil worked with Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce as Director Corporate and Other, Diamond Trust Bank Tanzania as General Manager and PricewaterhouseCoopers Pakistan as Manager Assurance Services

    Khalil holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the Karachi University, CA from the Institute or Chartered Accountants of Pakistan and CPA from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Khalil also is a member of the State Board of Accountancy, North Dakota.

    Natasha has broad experience in commercial, mining, construction, corporate, energy and electricity law gained in top tier private practice firms and in house in the mining, energy and construction industries.  

    Natasha worked for four years at Minter Ellison in their Perth and Melbourne offices in their corporate, commercial and litigation sections and worked for several years in the electricity sector in-house with the Australian Energy Market Operator and in the not-for-profit sector lobbying in relation to electricity market reform. She then spent 5 years in Asia (Shanghai, Delhi and Bangkok) with General Motors as in house Legal Counsel and then consulted to MBD Energy Limited (a company which develops large-scale industrial CO2 abatement solutions).

    Most recently Natasha was in Perth Western Australia working for Advent Balance in house with their clients - Karara Mining Ltd (Gindalbie) (3 years), Rio Tinto (1 year), AngloGold Ashanti (9 months) and Verve Energy (3 month audit). 

    Natasha holds Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) from University of Western Australia.
